To be an artist is to create things which move me and that I have the most intimate relationship with. But inevitably I know I will have to part with them. If my paintings must go I always hope they go to a good home.
Art is such a personal choice. Once you are taken by a work it will often not let you go. And you don’t buy it everyday. I can understand why you want to make sure it is the right piece for you.
By the way, while you are ordering your Garry Duncan artist print you might want to have a look at some of the information below.Artist's Palette You’ll notice an artists palette that goes with each image – this makes it easy to see the key colours in that painting. But I have found that if you like the work that usually means it already reflects the same taste and colour scheme you have used in your home. A word of warning though – a friend of mine says she loves my work because it is always such a great surprise. She says “ I am so glad I didn’t choose my Garry Duncan to go “with the furniture”. I can only say – if you love it then that’s the one for you.
The MaterialsWe use the best materials - each artist print you choose will be on 100% archival quality cotton canvas (390 gsm). The pigment inks which we use offer superior colour and coverage which means that your artist print will be as true to the original as possible. The frame stretchers (our limited prints come stretched and ready to hang or frame when ordering in Australia and unstretched for overseas purchasers) are 3.2 cm thick heavy duty kiln fried frames from New Zealand plantation pine. The MarketArt, like all similar markets cannot be sold with any guarantees. What we can say is there currently is a growing market in limited edition and artist prints for those artists who are very good, well known and who have seen a substantial and demonstrable increase in the value of his or her work over a number of years. Scarcity and providence also adds value so we are offering you a Certificate of Authenticity stating the number of copies in your edition (never more than 50) with the number of your print and signed personally by me. We will also be keeping a data base of owners of these limited artists prints (totally voluntary). This will help us to maintain the integrity of your limited edition print. Our PoliciesWe absolutely guarantee that for each image no more than 50 of the canvas reproduction limited edition artist prints will be sold. At no time will your personal or financial details be divulged to any other parties outside the need for normal financial transaction and shipping purposes. |
