To be an artist is to create things which move me and that I have the most intimate relationship with.  But inevitably I know I will have to part with them.  If my paintings must go I always hope they go to a good home.

Usually this means the painting goes to just one person. Good for that person but over the years I have met many people who have desperately wanted one of my paintings but who haven’t had the opportunity or the finances to own one of my originals.

That is why I have formed Garry Duncan Limited and why I have made a commitment to bringing you the highest quality limited edition artists prints for you to enjoy. 

The image you have chosen is either from my own private collection or from the collection of dear friends.

So you can be assured that not only are we limiting the number of editions that will be sold but we are choosing personal favourites of mine.  

We are confident the wall prints we are offering are amongst the best online prints available from one of the most unique and acclaimed artists in Australia – if I do say so myself.

Art is such a personal choice. Once you are taken by a work it will often not let you go. And you don’t buy it everyday.  I can understand why you want to make sure it is the right piece for you.

We all have let these factors influence our decision to buy now or wait and decide later.

I am not here to push my work, I wouldn’t and don’t need to, but I do know the feeling of regret when I didn’t go ahead and get that great sculpture I wanted. Went back later and it was gone. I can’t forget it and how it spoke to me.

As we have said we will not be printing very many of the images, only up to 99 and to a world wide market.

So I can only recommend that if you like one of my paintings, if it inspires and speaks to you then don’t miss out.

Artist's Palette

The Materials

We use the best materials - each artist print you choose will be on 100% archival quality cotton canvas (390 gsm). 

The pigment inks which we use offer superior colour and coverage which means that your artist print will be as true to the original as possible.  

The frame stretchers (our limited prints come stretched and ready to hang or frame when ordering in Australia and unstretched for overseas purchasers) are 3.2 cm thick heavy duty kiln fried frames from New Zealand plantation pine.
And finally to protect your wall print from chipping, scratching and environmental damage we apply a final laminate which aides in cleaning and increases colour vibrancy and contrast. (Clean only with a damp cloth please, you should see what one of my daughters did to a family painting using a cleaning product – not good.)  

The Market

Art, like all similar markets cannot be sold with any guarantees. What we can say is there currently is a growing market in limited edition and artist prints for those artists who are very good, well known and who have seen a substantial and demonstrable increase in the value of his or her work over a number of years.

Scarcity and providence also adds value so we are offering you a Certificate of Authenticity stating the number of copies in your edition (never more than 50) with the number of your print and signed personally by me. 

We will also be keeping a data base of owners of these limited artists prints (totally voluntary). This will help us to maintain the integrity of your limited edition print.       

One more word on the market (Fear not, now is the time to buy).  We always recommend that first of all choose your Garry Duncan artist print based on your desire, as an investment in enjoyment. 

Our Policies

We absolutely guarantee that for each image no more than 50 of the canvas reproduction limited edition artist prints will be sold. At no time will your personal or financial details be divulged to any other parties outside the need for normal financial transaction and shipping purposes.

Our printers ensure that all Garry Duncan artist prints are of the highest quality before sending them to you.  Should your print be damaged when you receive it we will send you a replacement as soon as possible. (For full details please see our Standards and Policies.)
